Re: Advice needed.. V6 or V8?

Love my Hemi. Have Quadra Drive II so Hemi was only option. When driving in the city only (Portland, OR) I get 9.5 miles to the gallon. However, I have a heavy foot. When driving to the coast over the mountain range where I drive legal and safe using cruise control when possible I have gotten as good as 19 mpg. It just idles over the mountains like they're nothing. My Jeep Liberty with a 3.7 six got the job done but was noisy and I got 12 city/17-18 highway. Trading in 2.5 miles to the gallon city was worth it to me but I live close to work.

Re: Advice needed.. V6 or V8?

Now that was a long thread......

For the record:
1) I make more money than everyone
2) My wife is a supermodel
3) My girlfriends are mostly supermodels as well, but have a few strippers in there to balance it out
4) My dog is meaner than yours and if you picked a different breed than <insert breed here> you are completely stupid and smell funny
5) My houses are much larger than yours
6) I'm awesome and you are not
7) My 6 cyl GC is pig slow compared to my last three vehicles (Corvette, AMG and SRT8 GC)
8) My supermodel wifes 6 cyl jeep has smaller tires that I have and no navigation (my hope is that she gets lost coming home so I can spend more time with my supermodel girlfriends)
9) My job is better than your job. I work less, get paid more and do nothing in between
10) I'm packing to leave for my 10 day trip to the island I just purchased

Did I leave anything out?

Re: Advice needed.. V6 or V8?

Just finished reading through it all, also found some very good info in here. Test drove the V6 and the V8 yesterday (v6 first) and was not overly impressed with either motor, but didn't feel like the v6 was an absolute let-down or that the v8 was some sort of beast.

For me it will likely be the v8 because of the quadra-lift allowing for sport-mode (I like the aesthetics of it), having the extra bit of power if/when we need it but knowing that those situations will be few and far between. Gas mileage isn't really playing into the decision, as either one is going to be costly relative to what we'd be using for most of our driving anyhow, which is a 2010 Honda Fit.

Thanks JG!

Sport mode is the same either engine.

Actually after reading the first 8 pages and getting bored of all the arguing, if you have made it to this post. Stop reading, Stop researching. Go and drive the two and pick which one suits you better.

As the last two posts prove, it's about who can be the biggest dick.
