I am going to be getting rid of the stock suitcase muffler and cant decide which muffler to go with. I have heard good things about both companies. I like the price tag on the Magnaflow, but I am leaning towards the Aero just to be different. Thoughts?
thats going to be the muffler that is used on the 5.7 hemi cars. i think the 6.1 hemi cars use the same one also or they use the one with 3 inch inlet and outlets.
there like 100 bucks too...you can get a stick of stainless pipe from jets ext...i wouldnt let a exhaust shop plumb it with a standard steel pipe...that is just gonna cause issues down the road in my opinion...
id love to hear what it sounds like. i am still debaiting if i am going to remove the suitcase or justr the two resonators. i figure if i remove the resonators and if for some reason it is too loud i can add two bullet mufflers in there for good measure and knock that db down a lil bit.
Steve I agree 100% I'm not paying that kind of money for a car back. I have already deleted the resonators, and the sound is good at idle and first take off but then it just sounds pretty much like stock driving around. One of the reasons I am leaning towards the aero 2525xl is because its a muffler/reso combo. Done doesn't really bother me, turn the radio up to 12 and your not going to hear any drone. With programmers finally out for us guys if the drone does start to bother me in mds mode I'll pick up a DS and turn mds off. Either way I end up going on the exhaust it's going to run me $320 (that's with the high end muffler) vs. paying 400-1200 for an axle back/ cat back system.
I am almost ready to pull the trigger on that aero 2525xl muffler. One of the main reasons is because I have not found anyone running one on their 5.7 wk2 and I want to be different.
