Greeting,

Cold Air Intake System Momentum GT Momentum GT Pro 5R Stage-2 Intake System; Jeep Grand Cherokee (WK2) 11-14 V6-3.6L 54-76207 - aFe Power

Oh well, but I am happy with my aFe Magnum Force for the V6.

Best for now.

Re: AFE Momentum GT CAI - anyone tried it?

So ive had the AFE intake since October, and im returning it. The fitment sucks. Ive noticed absolutely no changes whatsoever. No extra sound or power. The pipe going from the filter to the throttle body constantly loosens itself and eventually comes out. Not fully just partially. Very disappointed with AFE. They are however sending me a different set up so I guess I cant complain. but honestly I would not buy this kit or recommend it to anyone.

Out of curiosity, what set up are you getting in return?

Cool, let us know how you like and if this one is better! I'm leaning towards the AfE but am wary after hearing about your experience.

I read reviews on the first kit, and I was sold on it. After I was missing parts and just seeing how everything fit I was disappointed. It just seems kind of half assed. The AFE guy did say there have been other people complaining with the same issues so I guess buyer beware. I will keep you guys updated on the new kit.

Re: AFE Momentum GT CAI - anyone tried it?

So ive had kit 51-12242 on my jeep now for almost 2 weeks and man it made a huge difference. My jeep seems to run better. Seems a little bit more responsive. My MPGs went up by 1. Ive been cruising with the AC on and im almost at 17mpg and I have the hemi in my jeep. Going from the momentum to this new kit it seems like my jeep was almost restricted. This new kit is so much better. Right away I knew it was better. Instead of everything being made out of plastic, it was all made from metal. It compliments my flowmaster exhaust too
I couldn't be happier with this kit.

it sounds great. Everything is just a little bit louder. Sounds even better when you have your foot down!

Just ordered mine today (Cyber Monday) for 380 with the Dry S filter. Should be here later this week as it's already shipped. Can't wait to get it installed.

Re: AFE Momentum GT CAI - anyone tried it?

Installed it yesterday on our '15 Summit 3.6. Very nice install. Well made. Fit and finish is very nice, clean, and tight. I've had CAIs on all my Mopars and the Momentum GT is set up similarly to The CAI I had on my old Hemi Magnum AWD. It worked very well combined with a tune and exhaust. The old SOTP dyno feels a little stronger in sport mode. Not much interior noise difference, but this could be an effect of the active noise cancellation system? Love this sound system and interior! I've had the Summit for a couple of months and have added Mooar skid plates, weather tech floor mats, and the CAI. Next up will be the Magnaflow quad tip exhaust for the Summit and hopefully Diablo will add a tuner for the '15 GC 3.6. Love my Summit!

Mitch
