Afe momentum gt stage 2 for 3.6?

Anyone try one of these yet? Looks like a sweet setup but man 450 bucks. Sealed box looks like a better option than K&N and Mopar. ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1443125847.822261.jpg

I have not personally tried it, but will likely get one at some point. This thread provides some insight into it.

AFE Momentum GT CAI - anyone tried it?

That thread is/was for the v8 version.
This does look like the best option out there so far but being ultra skeptical of any CAI id like so see other testing besides the manufacturers dyno.
IMO this should be priced close to $300.

This is all plastic so it should not suffer from heat soak like the ones that use a metal pipe.

The other benefits is that the only air inlet is the same as stock.

I never bother with CAI but this is the best of both worlds.

You may gain 5 ponies but the real reason to get this is improved throttle response.

1. All plastic construction
2. Fully sealed
3. The silencer box is removed
4. Better flowing filter.

Re: Afe momentum gt stage 2 for 3.6?

I may go with the sprintbooster before a CAI. It worked great on my gen 2 4.7. It should do well with the 8 speed. I would like to get a tube and connect to the stock box.

Re: Afe momentum gt stage 2 for 3.6?

I just installed the above mention AfE CAI. Very easy to install and throttle response is a lot better.

Re: Afe momentum gt stage 2 for 3.6?

I just got my hands on mine and did the install yesterday.

It's definitely louder hand than stock @ 2500 rpm and up?

Even though the box it came in is pretty heavy. Visually the engine bay is lighter.

Re: Afe momentum gt stage 2 for 3.6?

Just ordered mine today with the Dry S filter. Should be here later this week. I got mine during Cyber Monday deals. Looking forward to getting it installed.
