I think most of the WK2 mods available are pretty similiar to one another. I dont see a great deal of difference in the exhausts available, except for sound, perhaps.

As far as intakes are concerned, I haven't really kept up with the dyno results but it seems like the Volant is popular, however, maybe the AFe would be better?

Whatever provides the most, coldest air with the least amount of turbulence will net the most power.

Re: aFe Power 5.7L CAI

Well today was a sad day.

The prototype intake was uninstalled and is headed back to aFe for them to make their final modifications to the system.

Overall I was very impressed with aFe's system and and currently posting my Volant up for sale

I will update you guys when I hear about what is next for the prototype. (Hopefully final production)

Re: aFe Power 5.7L CAI

Did they Dyno test the prototype? How would they know if it is an improvement?

The next time my car goes in they will be installing a production housing, with a pre production tube. They hope to have their new AWD dyno up and running by then as they are currently in the process of changing dynos.

No word on an official eta, but based on their original timeline, they will likely be perfornimg the above step in the next 2 weeks or so.

You should see if you can arrange a deal to return after you do some more mods

Re: aFe Power 5.7L CAI

I would love to work out a deal like that!!!

But between being part of the design process of a new part, the new part for free, and having the car dyno'd pre and post new part, i cant ask for much else

They did mention potentially designing an exhaust system after the CAI is complete.....

You mean overpriced (they all are) hopefully there's no such thing as a Jeep tax. I owned their dual cone intake for a while. Looking forward to it aFe, can't wait to see some numbers.

Yeah it is, but if you can afford a BMW, you can afford that...a cop once told me I can afford the ticket too

Just a quick update:

The Jeep will be back at aFe on Monday and Tuesday for pre/post dyno testing.
