Re: air intake recommendation

My vote would be for Volant...very well made and the oil-less 100k Donaldson filter is well regarded.

Re: air intake recommendation

I'm leaning towards the AFE but that's because I want it to be a little louder than the Volant. Other than that, the Volant has to be the best one I've seen/researched

Thanks everyone! I'll probably go with volant, from what I've read seems to be best; -)

Re: air intake recommendation

Also make sure that its 50 states legal. I know that Volant right now is not, but the Mopar CAI is. I started a thread about this CAI and Exhaust. hope this helps

Re: air intake recommendation

You already have the most effective CAI for your car. Anything else other than a snorkel is a warm air intake (WAI).

Re: air intake recommendation

What BobT is saying is that a CAI is worthless because it's in the engine bay with heat all around it. Your stock intake has a box around it which helps to insulate the box and protect it from the heat in the engine bay. The most ideal CAI is a snorkel intake which you can find on many wrangles that go off-roading. I can't picture a WK2 with a snorkel, but i am sure people have already done it.
