My 5.7 Hemi is breathing easier with a certified pre-owned Flyin'Ryan PTB! This might have been one of the easiest installations that I've performed on the Jeep - disconnect the Volant from the TB, 8MM socket wrench on the 4 bolts, that's it!
I don't know if there is anything that I can mention about the effects that wasn't already covered in moosehead's original PTB post. The engine feels like it has a bit more pep for sure, but my butt dyno isn't calibrated enough to pick up on anything more than that. My opinion is that every little bit helps. Plus, no idling issues or CEL!
Here are a couple pics to prove it happened:
Ready for the new TB -
New vs Old. Can your eyes spot the difference?
Almost done...
Done. Except for the annoying engine cover that I had to punch to make it snap into place.
By the way, I've got an OEM 5.7 Hemi throttle body for sale if anyone is interested.
