Has anyone heard any news on release dates for an ECM Performance Programmer? Spoke with a BullyDog Tech in January and he reported they had one in "planning" but too soon for a release date. I've gotten zip from the other manufactures.

With BWoody Air Intake released & 3 Flavors of Cat-back, was looking for a programmer too!

I emailed Diablo, below is their response...

"We have the 2011 Hemi cars and trucks in development right now, and are hoping to have support added for them later this year. Just keep your eye on our website for the announcement. Thanks for the inquiry!"

Sounds like a Christmas present for myself :)

they change the parameters for the engine to something normal, kinda the opposite of the factory. :) The factory tunes for ,well, I haven't figured it out yet but..., and the tuners allow you to remove rev limiters, change shift points, add fuel, adjust the way the engine runs for a specific octane of gas, etc...

They cant get past the security which is the last time we got an update. I guess the most difficult part is actually being able to change the parameters and the security of the new PCMS is I suppose difficult to bypass at the moment.

nothing.. I heard from scott a week or two ago.. He said he'd let us know ASAP when he had more information. A new PCM means lots of work, not just a new flash, they already have most of the info to be loaded, its the whole loading the software into the new PCM's.

We have files written to test and tune but we are still working on getting past the security that would allow us to write the files to the PCM.

Hopefully that will happen here soon as they are working on it daily. Trust me, we want to get these out as quickly as you want to get them and we appreciate your patience with us on this.

Scott from what I hear from a pretty reliable tuning source that Chrysler pretty much did not leave a back door open for tuners to break into, I heard Ford tried the same thing but left room for it to be hacked so here is me crossing my fingers that someone cracks the code.

Hey Scott,

I have a 3875 which was used on a 2008 Grand Cherokee with the HEMI. Now that I have a 2011 also with the HEMI I was wondering if the 2011 application will be available on the 3875 or on a whole new tuner. Thanks in advance.

Yes, we will continue to offer model year coverage updates to the 3875 for free till the day the product can't fit anymore info.

This post is for everyone wanting to know why their 2011 5.7 feels so laggy. I was adding PIDs to my data logging software last night and this morning I found out just how bad the ETC delay really is and it is by far the worst I have ever seen before. When you floor it from a stop it takes a whopping 2.5 seconds for the throttle blade to open all the way (about the 30 MPH mark). Just eliminating that delay would likely shave a full second or more off the 0-30 and 0-60 times. Also the timing advance is very low especially considering the throttle is not even open more than 20-30% yet. 5-6* of advance to start with then goes up to 13* in the midrange and 18.5* max. Hopefully I can get it to log the commanded A/F later. I have heard it runs 12.2-12.3 A/F and I would imagine it has a large PE delay (2 seconds or a certain RPM like 3,500 RPMs for example before PE is enabled) to go with the ETC delay.

So with the tsb out to make the hemi's shift like a "6 speed" now will that be lost with a superchip downloader? Or will superchips take that in to account with the programing? Whenever they come out with a tuner for these.

There is always room for improvement from the factory settings. If they were to go super agressive their vehicle line mileage credits would start to go into the toilet and the EPA would be leaning on them to build another smart car to fill that loss.

As far as I know we will still be offering an advanced transmission tuning feature so you can take advantage of shift point adjustability from part throttle to WOT.

I have had a VERY bad experience with Dave at BG and in my opinion he will take your money and be happy to give you nothing in return... Even if your vehicle runs slower with his tune than with the factory tune... He does NOT stand by his work nor does he stand by his own word....Buyer beware! Use BG at your own risk... Thats all Im going to say about that.

SPEED SAFE, NICK
