Re: Any new Updates heard for a WK2 Programmer - BullyDog, HyperTech, SuperChip

Well I will have my Trinity tomorrow, but no tune to download.. I guess that was my own fault.

While I/we wait, I wonder if the trinity still work as a code reader/clearer and data logger for CMR tunes?

Re: Any new Updates heard for a WK2 Programmer - BullyDog, HyperTech, SuperChip

Question for those more knowledgable in tuning than myself:

How does a 3rd party tune like the Diablo Sports Trinity Tune that's coming out compare to taking your WK2 to someone like Dave Kasper from B&G Chrysler Specialists in Metro Detroit who is apparently a Chrysler Dealer and has the Chrysler software to tune your truck?

Diablosport :: Gas and Diesel Tuning Systems |

Vs.

Company

There's a big discussion between these 2 parties on the DS Forum regarding a tune for the 2011+ WK2's and how DiabloSport is a 3rd party handheld tuner vs. the company software but no one goes into a comparison of the quality/performance gains/safety/longevity, etc.

Any light that someone could shed into this issue is greatly appreciated as I'm going back and forth on where to spend my money. Thanks guys for making this one of the best forums on the web.

Andrew

Re: Any new Updates heard for a WK2 Programmer - BullyDog, HyperTech, SuperChip

So while waiting for Diablosport to release their tune for my gc, i strapped it into the work truck and did a 87 performance tune.

Holy crap. 0-60 is faster, but it was noticeably more responsive and I can definitely feel the changes in the TCM.

The day that diablosport releases the tune for the gc will be a good and bad one. My daily driver (work truck, '12 F150) will be reverted back to stock :'( But the wifes grand cherokee and my weekend toy, will get exactly what it needs...

That vehicle is a top priority, but I donít have any way of giving you an ETA for a future release. Just keep your eye on site for updates and announcements.

Re: Any new Updates heard for a WK2 Programmer - BullyDog, HyperTech, SuperChip

I spoke with Arrington today and they said this package should be available by January. He also said if I had an 11 I could get it now. Said I should expect to see about 80 hp with this package. I plan to go with it as soon as it's available. I would go with a blower but it appears no one is planning on making one for the 5.7

That does look very nice!!! I wonder if, because it is offered from Arrington and Arrington is one of Mopar's selected tuners, that it wont void our warranty?!?

That would make it instant buy for many of us. Once we each rob a local bank that is...
