Re: Any new Updates heard for a WK2 Programmer - BullyDog, HyperTech, SuperChip

Its hard to explain how well the interceptor from hypertec works but ill try.First it was 305 dollars half of anything coming out from other companies. I dont know if they be any better for performance. It was easy to install about 15 minutes. Throttle response is great.rpm's increase much faster, big difference in mid range. I also dont need to be watching the module on the dash. Much safer watching traffic go buy. Module is located on frame by pcm if you can see it.

Cool thanks Vince. Does it change the shift points? I assume MDS still works like normal?

Sorry shift points remain the same and mds is not affected. One good point is there are no tracks in the pcm when you have to go to dealer. I have to go talk later.

Re: Any new Updates heard for a WK2 Programmer - BullyDog, HyperTech, SuperChip

Thanks for the information. I definitely like the fact that this unit prevents us from having to actually reprogram the PCM which helps a ton in dealer service situations. Couple questions, is there any type of switch to put the unit in bypass mode if you will for troubleshooting? I suppose you could just unplug the harnesses and plug in the factory harnesses but a bypass switch would be nice! Is the unit re-programmable or upgrade able via USB like other Hypertech devices? My only concern is that its not extensible, meaning it wouldn't be able to change things like rev limits, speed limits, fuel ratios, etc like the previous hypertech programmers.

Would love to hear more about your experiences with it though.

J I emailed Hypertech almost the same questions the other day since their website is pretty vague. I'm sure due to the holiday is why I haven't heard back yet. Once I do I'll post their answer.

If the shift points are the same, I am not interested. It sounds like this is just a tune and not a transmission reprogram. I feel the most power is lost with the current transmission programming. Come on Bully Dog or Diablo Sport. We are waiting! Don't make us compromise with this system.

Re: Any new Updates heard for a WK2 Programmer - BullyDog, HyperTech, SuperChip

The hypertec does nothing for the transmission. Personally I would a firmer shift but increasing the rpm's is a wast of a good engine. the 5.7 with stock cam or heads does not make any moe power above apx. 5500 rpm. I boughr Hypertec because there the first, used them before,hp gains aren't going to be much different and the cost.
