Has anyone heard any news on release dates for an ECM Performance Programmer? Spoke with a BullyDog Tech in January and he reported they had one in "planning" but too soon for a release date. I've gotten zip from the other manufactures.

With BWoody Air Intake released & 3 Flavors of Cat-back, was looking for a programmer too!

The new superchips program looks fantastic!

I have spoken with a manager there and managed to have gotten myself on a beta test list when they reach that part of testing.

The product I think is slated for 2011 sometime (probably later in the year, maybe Q4).

I will be sure to start a new thread on my experiences with Vivid as I test them on my WJ...

Might want to hold out for that?

Grantb, sounds great, hope you enjoy the beta time & the sneak peek! Scott (superchip) thought it should be out on market by March, but that's anyone's guesstimate until arrives! I'm still in waiting for my WK2 to be delivered, so my garage is accumulating boxes.

I'm interested in the dongle add-on component to be used with existing Andriod devices. I'm especially interested if they offer more than the canned pre-programed setups and allow the User to make separate adjustments.

When do you expect to get a hands-on to the beta hardware?

I am keeping the pressure on my Superchips contact, but no ETA at this point (which sucks).
I will be sure to post a link probably in the performance section somewhere!!

For the viewers who didn't check your your link to a previous post - this is what we are talking about here-

My unofficial word as recently as today is...

To: Grant Boyles
Subject: RE: Vivid

Nothing yet definite. Several months would be my best guess. We are in testing and I have seen the screen and optional displays. Really cool stuff. Can’t wait till this becomes available. No word on price yet either. Still have no idea if any of this will get Beta tested outside the confines of this building. We have done Beta testing in the past with folks outside the building, but we will see how we handle this new technology.

I was told that it was being pushed back to the end of the 2nd quarter. Unfortunately even I am not getting a straight answer on a time frame due to the fact that our R&D team is still working on some of the apps we want to have included in the product.

Hang in there guys, It will be worth the wait!

Great Scott! (heheh)

Now, just so I don't get all excited and then let down.... will programming software for the pentastar be sold without needing to buy this Archos Android device? Either in a stand alone Superchips programming hardware or as potentially just a piece of software that can be loaded on other android devices (such as Droid X)?

I'm sure this awesome-amazing-doeverything-pretty-classy-monster-all-in-one Archos droid programmer thingy will cost quite a pretty penny eh?

I just need to tune the Pentastar!
And maybe down the road use it for a nice centrifugal supercharger to go with it???

PS.... I'll volunteer for testing if you need!

All of our current apps along with 2011 support (including the Pentastar motor) will be integrated into VIVID.

We will be offering a base package called the AVID which will includes the dongle and software for use in droid based products with version 2.1 or higher.

Stay tuned for more details.

Superchips does not disclose the product launch date to the public until we are certain we can make the delivery date.

We have communicated some tentative timing to our distribution network; however those dates are subject to change pending validation testing and production scheduling in our Florida facility. VIVID will be available spring 2011 so stay tuned for further details.

The dealer linked has jumped the gun on this product on a number of occasions with part number and pricing info not even available to them at the time it was posted.

I recommend for your own protection that you do not go by this dealers data or pre purchase a unit from them until a guaranteed date has been posted by me.

Scott

Scott,
Came across this Release Date and Jeep Link. Indicates May 21, any fact to this one?
Release Date Indicated: http://www.vehicleprogrammers.com/vivid.html
Jeep Link: http://www.vehicleprogrammers.com/538750.html

Any chance to purchase direct from Superchip prior to May?

Any specs or info on Diablo unit?
Have you found any estimates of availability?
Would like to know more on all options to help decision.

SuperChip has a neat idea w Android and appeares to be first out of gate, but cost may be a determining factor too!

I was originally waiting for the new BullyDog unit; which I think was lost in a black hole, no one at BullyDog has wanted to provide product info.

I also haven't seen any info if HyperTech is planning to offer a unit.

Actually I've seen a ton of stuff for the Challengers. I own a R/T Magnum and theres so many things for these vehicles.
The reason for a wait for the programmers is that its a completely redesigned model for the 2011 GC. These things take a little time to figure out and work out any bugs.
Its pretty much like this with all brand new models as far as I know.

Bump for news!

Sorry for the late reply, I was out at Moab testing our 08 on the trails and showing off a demo of the VIVID (will post pic's of it later today).

We are still trying to break through the additional security added to the 2011 PCM's. We appreciate your patience with this and hope to have this issue resolved soon.

Scott, would you say were still looking at a minimum of months if not longer for a WK2 programmer? Once you even get access to the PCM, then comes all the tuning efforts.. ?

Any updates in the past two weeks Scott? Thanks

I thought I read that the Trinity is compatible with the 2011 GC. Is ther any truth to this? I'm holding onto my Predator just in case.

Next item on my list...can't wait to get some real performance change. I feel like the cut off is 200 rpm to low at 5700. I also hate this drive by wire TB....lag.
