Becoming CARB compliant

Hey kids

Just moved to California - cool

Just failed emissions - not cool

All because my K&N intake 77-1560KTK

Anybody have any suggestions? I sold my factory airbox a while ago never thinking I would ever move to California. Should I purchase a used factory airbox? Should I... find a shop to 'look past' my K&N?

Becoming CARB compliant

No comment on the noisemaker but I think most K&N's are 50 state compliant, all you need is your sticker or a shop that's familiar with this.

Re: Becoming CARB compliant

Thanks man

I honestly just ordered the AFE intake (that is CARB legal)

I am just going to sell my K&N intake

I don't feel like dealing with work-arounds

Re: Becoming CARB compliant

it was between the Mopar CAI and AFE, went with AFE

I still can't believe K&N's is not

I actually talked to a rep at the K&N booth at the Truck and Jeep Fest in San Mateo yesterday and he was basically like yeah, the CARB association can take as long as they want to approve those products
