Best CAI??

Looking to get a Cold Air Intake for my 2011 3.6 GC. What's the best brand and does anyone have one to sell?

Re: Best CAI??

I have the k&n system and it was easy to install and it makes the vehicle sound pretty loud
I like it ..I Haven't tried any others so I can't comment on them but the k&n is worth the money

Re: Best CAI??

Here are links to the most popular CAI's being used Ive seen on the forums:

K&N

Volant CAI with Pro5 filter

Volant CAI with Donaldson filter

AFE Momentum GT Pro 5R

AFE Magnum FORCE

The first two and the last one seem to have the most following around here.

I do know I would stay away from the AFE Momentum, although it looks the most complete and well designed, I have yet to see a good review on it. In fact multiple people have had issues with the AFE Momentum, and eventually AFE sends them a Magnum to replace it and the reveiws on that are better.

Hopefully this helps.

Sorry, I didnt notice if you have the 3.6 or the 5.7 Hemi. The data above is for the hemi.

Re: Best CAI??

Don't forget the Airaid CAI...easiest to install, least expensive too.

I had one on my 2014 Overland V6...loved it, and never had an issue with it.

Re: Best CAI??

Sorry....Never took any sound clips or vid...but I can tell you 100% that the K&N adds WAYY more sound than the Gibson Exhaust...

My GC with the K&N + Gibson was quite loud when you got on the throttle ...even inside its pretty loud...turns alot of heads when you stomp on it ...

I just had the K&N removed and the stock box put back on ...because I had a supercharger installed...and with the Gibson+Supercharger its quiet...i'm guessing that 80% of the sound was coming from the K&N

I'd like to eventually get the K&N Back on there ...but it will require some custom tuning with the Supercharger so not sure when I'll get it back on

Re: Best CAI??

I just got a K&N CAI put on my 2013 5.7, it is awesome, is probably exceeding its advertised horsepower improvement (17HP). It is louder when accelerating, sounds mean, I love it.

Thanks for your post. I signed on this evening specifically to look for reviews on this. Do you have a sound clip you could post?

Quite a few videos in this section (I have one too). Quick search or scroll down and you will find them.

Re: Best CAI??

As far as quality wise, which is better? K&N or Airaid? I heard from a friend K&N are carrying Airaid products is that true? I could go with pre oil or dry filter. Just want to see the who has a good quality and a a good price
