Borla dropping the ball

Bought a Borla cat back and was having it installed when my mechanic called and told me that I had 2 right mufflers and was missing the left. Although one was labeled right and the other left. My mechanic had it all installed already so he had to disassemble and re install the stock exhaust. Borla needs to over night ship me the correct left side muffler and provide pre paid return shipping return label to make this right. You guys think these demands are too unreasonable? What about compensation since my mechanic would probably charge me for the labor to install, dis install the Borla, then re install the stock.

Re: Borla dropping the ball

Thats no fun... Although I don't think your demands are unreasonable I highly doubt they will comply. I'm guessing they will ship out a replacment and pay for shipping but I wouldn't bet on overnight or having them foot the bill for the extra mechanics time. Hope it works out for you.

Re: Borla dropping the ball

Update.
So Borla did the right thing. They overnighted me the correct muffler and included a return postage with apologies. Had the cat back installed today and I love it. Just the right amount of growl without it being too obnoxious. Smoother acceleration too? Might be all in my head. My mech on charged me $130 for the install too! So overall very happy with just a very small speed bump! Next mod....Volant CAI en route!

Thumbsup, glad Borla came through. +1 to the Volant as well.
