CAI 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude

Hello Everyone, New to the forums and, new 2015 JGC Altitude. Looking for my 1st mod, and I am likeing the look of the MOPAR cai, but it does not show up under any of the 2015 searches.
http://carphotos.cardomain.com/image...3740_large.jpg

Is there any diverences on the 3.6 that makes this different from the 2014 to the 2015 JGC?

Or can anyone recomend a better cai for me?
any help is greatly appreciated.
what should my 1st (5) mods be? — Help me spend my money, but i only have 1k for mods right at moment.

I'm a straight shooter.

Don't waste your money on a CAI. It won't help you gain hp or mpg.
Basically just an expensive ornament for your engine.

There were no significant changes with the 2015 model year. So 2014 equipment will fit your 2015. Manufacturers need some time to update their listings.

CAI 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude

CAI's are a waste of money. If anything get a drop in dry filter like an AFE or AEM.

I have a 2015 altitude with an AFE cold air intake and you feel a slight difference but it's really just for a more throttle sound, if you want to get more power, look up Hypertech interceptor it's the best thing I've added so far.

Greetings,

What type of performance improvements did you get with the Hypertech?

Best for now.

I disagree, I just got the Volant CAI for my 2014 5.7L and there is a difference in power. MPG idk because I have been giving it gas because I love the way she sounds now lol

Even if there was a difference, Which there isn't... you wouldn't be able to feel it. Its just in your head and the sound.

Manufacturers make factory intakes extremely efficient these days, there are no gains to be had and you might actually lose power adding an intake without tuning the car for it.

Re: CAI 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude

Love my K&N on my Hemi. No power losses, if there is I can't feel it. Sounds great, looks great and it was free!

Next up is the Magnaflow exhaust sitting in my garage waiting for spring.

Re: CAI 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude

What's your goal for getting it? If it is increase in BHP or other performance, I would not do it. If you want to hear your motor sing for less $ than an exhaust, go for it!
I can only speak for my Hemi but wow does it sound good!

CAI 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude

I find I really hear the sweet Hemi intake gurgle when next to another car or wall allowing the sound to bounce back. Sounds really nice under low load that way. Of course she sings her song at WOT. I sure don't regret putting it on. If I was to purchase again I would get the AFE Momentum GT for a sealed unit that uses stock cold air inlet location.
