I'm curious to see how many 2014 Hemi (non-SRT) owners are running a catch can and if you are capturing much in the can? Have you see anything bad with the can? I checked my TB at about 4,000 miles and it still looked brand new.....so I'm trying to get an idea of the benefits. Or has the oil blowback problem improved with the 14's???
Catch can was first mod I did to my '14 - have over 9K miles on mine now. I check/empty it about every 2nd or 3rd week; it has had about a tablespoon of oil in it each time. I just look at it as that much oil not going back into the top end of my 5.7L. From what I've read and studied about the '14s here and on other sites, Chrysler made no changes to the 5.7L from last year's engine. I highly recommend you install one.
Lol well I know its a bit later then I said I would report in, but I have driven about 3K miles and my catch can was just a little more then half full. Durring this period I was driving very spiritedly because I just got my exhaust installed. and we all know the most oil blow by come when you have your foot down.

there is only one mounting location with the BTcatchcan which is right next to the computer utilizing the 2 unused crew holes. .. but you can always buy someone else's can and mount it in your own location
I installed the Morroso billet catch can in about 15 minutes. It was very simple and the mounting bracket goes on a bolt used where the factory intake mounts. Replace the CAI and do the catch can at the same time. You may need to position the hoses carefully to be able to put the Hemi engine cover back on. When i installed my K&N CAI I also installed the BBK 85 throttle body.
Altitude looks sick.
I noticed the fittings going into the shock towers on my '11 right after the purchase. Thought at the time that they looked mighty flimsy for such an important part of the suspension. Jeep couldn't spend 20 cents more and used metal??
I know this is an old thread but I ordered a BT catch can and just got it installed after reading how much oil some of you were collecting. Its pricey but it looks great and the quality is spectacular (esp the red finish!) Only time will tell if it is a worth while mod in terms of functioning but no matter what it dressed up the engine bay nice. Thanks for the heads up about the ql air fitting on the shock tower, i was able to avoid any problems with it.
The only downside to the catch can is since it is metal with hot gases flowing into it, it generates and quickly fills with condensation in the winter months up north, so has to be emptied fairly often. Other than that well worth it. I've had mine for 5 years and love it, btw there is no way of seeing 2 mpg increase from just a CC, there is just a slight mpg increase, if any.
maybe we installed it around the time the engine was getting broken in? Yes in the winter months we have to empty ours every week. Compared to the summer 2-3 weeks. Btw we put on 750-1000 miles a week.
I have two questions.
1) Does the catch can void any part of the warranty?
2) What happens if you forget to empty the catch can and it fills all the way up with oil or condensation?
Anyone else run into an issue with the screws provided by Billet Tech being too large to screw into the holes on the fusebox? No way mine will fit. I do have some kind of clamp over the holes, but the threading through the metal plate still doesn't look to be a large enough diameter. Looks like it's Home Depot time.

New to forum and Jeep in general. Is the Billet CC the only one available for the GC? Coming from Chevy i was running an Elite Engineering CC and the quality is outstanding.
Tried to install mine yesterday, and stopped, had a hard time trying to pull off the OEM PCV hose ends. I didn't want to end up breaking anything, knowing my luck, something will break, lol. Any tips on how to get the PCV hose ends off easily?

I was considering cutting it, but I opted not to, in case I wanted to go back to stock in the future. I guess I could buy a new PCV line from dealer or online somewhere. Cutting is my last resort, lol. Thanks!
