Diablo Tuner on a 2013 JGC 3.6L

Has anyone tried a Diablo Tuner on a 2013 Jeep Gracd Cherokee 3.6L. If so how was it? Also How easy is it to install?

Greetings,

Their is a member here that uses the Diablo Trinity on their 2012 3.6. Reported excellent results. Search this forum and look for posts by Subbie09.

I am going to put my AFE CAI in this weekend and before the year is out, I am going to get one of the Diablo's.

Hope this helps.

Best for now.

Re: Diablo Tuner on a 2013 JGC 3.6L

I use it on my 2012 3.6 as well with hemifever tunes. World of a difference. Let's just say when I have to restore my stock tune to bring it to the dealership it's a long slow depressing 20minute drive.

Greetings,

Which Diablo do you have?

Interesting that you use the hemifever tunes. Do you see any problems or excessive engineer wear by using the hemifever tunes?

Best for now.

I have the diablosport trinity and bought it through hemifever. Basically same price with custom tunes.

You load the canned tunes the you send him your log files after doing some benchmark runs. He tunes them according to your runs. I have a custom tune for 87, 91, and 93octane.

I've had zero problems and my motor runs amazing. No issues with engine wear and tear.

That really nice. How much does a system set you back if you don't mind sharing. I usually baby the 2011 V6 but the horrid 2nd gear on the 5 speed makes me think at some point I'll trade this for a newer model. I really like the grill on 2011-2013, as opposed to the 2914-2015. I hated the new Cherokee look when it came out but am slowly accepting that it has it's place. More like a Subaru Outback on steroids. I haven't seen the Fist based Renegade yet but it has to be better that the Patriot or Compass. I would like to give my 2011 as much love as I can because I will be paying for another 3 years on it and I have 46K miles on it. Most repairs do to electronics and sensors but minimal. HVAC blower replaced but other than the brake booster recall and the warning about the left head warranty being extended to 100K it's been a great ride.

Paid 575 shipped to Toronto and it comes with custom tuning through Hemifever.

The new cherokee reminds me more of a niche market like the Subaru TriBeCa b9. I used to own an '08 jeep patriot. Great vehicle, super fun to drive with the 4x4 in the snow we get here in canada. Can't beat that light weight with 50/50 4x4 power distribution. Awesome mileage, but at the cost poor performance. I honestly think the cvt didn't help with the performance. But the cvt has it's place in that market. I traded it in because my family grew larger (had another kid) and added a boat to my life.

I had my brake booster fail 2 weeks before getting my recall notice in the mail but my dealership fixed it under warranty. Just need them to install the brake booster cover. My blower motor died too which was covered under warranty. My rear window seal deteriorated as well as the gaskets in my tail lights that are on the tailgate. Causing leaks in the tail light housings and leaking in the cargo area. All covered under warranty. Also zero engine and trans issues. So the extra warranty on the head is a nice added confidence.

Greetings,

I have also have currently 46K on my 2011. Love it and I am a first time Jeep owner. So far, I had 2 wheeling bearings blow at 21k and my FOB replaced. The TIPM is starting to act up. I have to check if my aftermarket extended warranty covers that, it should. I hate the OEM tires and sound system.

I have to payoff some bills, including the new AFE CAI and the forth coming vacation, I will get the Diablo.

Best for now.

Re: Diablo Tuner on a 2013 JGC 3.6L

Good to see some post of the 3.6L and this tune. I also have a 2011 with the 5speed. May like to give this a try via hemifever. Would like to stick with 87 octane though. Can good results be had with that?

How do guys like it so far after having it awhile?? What about you, 1stJeepGC, did you end up getting this?

Re: Diablo Tuner on a 2013 JGC 3.6L

has anyone ever dyno tested the 3.6L after using the Diablo alone?

I have a supercharger on my 3.6L 2014 GC with the Diablo and it does well...but I also have a 2015 Durango with the 3.6L and my wife refuses to let me supercharge that one...I already upgraded the TB but just curious if the Diablo actually adds usable HP ?
