Re: Diablosport I1000 DCX now supports 2014 5.7

My 2014 Overland Runs consistent 5.8 / 5.7 second 0-60 time using pocket dyno app. I put it in sport mode then launch from entry/exit mode. Runs 5.9 launching from aero mode just more body rollback in aero. Take in mind the outside temp is also in the mid 20s here in Dc so the hemi is running great. I feel that the good performance that I'm getting is from following a tried and trued way of breaking in the motor properly (MotoMans) way. Pulled very good result with this on 1000cc street bikes. I also turned off the Eco mode from the day I got the vehicle until it had 3000 miles so that the piston could properly seat the rings to the silinder walls with out being washed out. When I was first getting these 5.7/5.8 times I assumed the pocket dyno app was off but then I had to bring my vehicle in for service and had a new dodge charger v6 8 speed and that would run constant 6.3 to 6.4 0 to 60. I plan on getting a tune from Sean at Hemifever, CAI and 87 mm throtle body and then see what happens.

My baseline in stock form was 0-60 was 6.4 which is about what all the review are getting. outside temp was 45 yesterday run in that video. If your running 5.8 stock then you got strong motor. I also followed a similar break in tacatic and run Mobil 1 oil and filter.

Is the check engine light supposed to be on once the tune is completed?

With the key just in the "on" position or with the engine running?

Re: Diablosport I1000 DCX now supports 2014 5.7

I started the engine and waited about 45 seconds and it still was on. haven't had a chance to drive it yet, I am working so I think at lunch I will drive to lunch and see if it goes out or not. How long did it take you guys to get your tune from hemifever? I emailed them but havent heard back yet with my custom tune. How do you log WOT runs in so they can fine tune it?

thanks!

The check engine light should not be on. You can use the tool to read the DTC code and the tuner will also tell you what the code means - and you can also clear the code using the tuner.

Sean was pretty quick to get my tunes back to me after I sent him the logs he asked for. He should have sent an email with instructions on how to set up the tuner on how to log the data he needs and he usually wants two logs - a 0 to 75 WOT run, and a log where you drive around normally for a few miles.

Re: Diablosport I1000 DCX now supports 2014 5.7

It says “1 active code U0402” then if you click on the code it says , unable to get data” I cleared the code and it didn't come back yet. I am emailing with diablo support to find out what that code means.

Sean got back to me from hemifever with my tunes, so I applied them and will try them out on the drive home. Included in the email was instructions for logging so all is good now.

I was just wondering if anyone else got the code I got after the intial tune?

Re: Diablosport I1000 DCX now supports 2014 5.7

I think that code means "IMPLAUSIBLE DATA RECEIVED FROM TCM" - not quite sure what that means. Did you drive it at all? Did you encounter any problems when you installed the tune initially?

If it drives fine when on your way home I wouldn't worry about it much, if at all.

Re: Diablosport I1000 DCX now supports 2014 5.7

I have not driven far yet just in the parking lot, still at work. will update the thread when i get home. Diablo support says to let them know if it comes back after clearing.

Just a quick question, I disabled the MDS in my tune for 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7, however when you turn the car on the "ECO" button is still lighting up. Even though the light is on indicating MDS is on, is it really off or disabled? thanks!

The ECO button is more than just MDS. When ECO mode is on (By default) the transmission still has lower shift points, but MDS is disabled through the tune. I still turn off ECO mode most of the time because I don't like how it short shifts.
