Diablosport intune dcx fries ecm, common problem????

so i got a intune dcx off a friend, updated it, pluged it in, tried to install tune, says install failed, tries to install orginal tune, says that failed, jeep goes bonkers, wont run. i called diablosport and they say i need to mail them pcm and tuner and for $100 they will install orginal tune on pcm and put tuner back to stock. i took it to the dealer instead as i have a good relationship with them and they try to reflash the pcm and their system wont even reconize it, they said its fried and had to install a new one, they did it for free , now diablosport says they will put the tuner back to stock via internet but im afraid to try it again, dealer may not replace it for me twice. has anyone else had this problem???fyi its a '13 hemi

UFOKILLERZ was yours a V8 or V6 ? So did DiabloSport cover the replacement of the ECU and that of the new Intune DCX ?

it died while it was getting tuned for supercharger
i have a V8

i think my supercharger installer had to cover the cost as there was some back and forth on fault.

the ECU will brick if your battery voltage is too low, recommended to hook something up to keep battery voltage up during tuning.

1) How did that work out for you? How difficult was it to claim warranty on the ECU? How much is the ECU if you were to pay it out of pocket?

2) Could you please elaborate on that? That's a trick I am not familiar with.

Thanks.

well i have a warranty that covers it for $100 deductable but i know the dealership very well so they put it in as a emmission warranty thats covered with no deductable.
if you have push button start you can pop the button out and use your fob as a key. since ive done it that way ive had no problems when installing tuning
