DiabloSport Intune I-1000 DCX

Finally installed my Intune and what a difference. Instead of pulling back after gear changes, now I'm leaping forward on every shift. Used to top out at 113 mph, with the Intune installed I got it up to 132 mph. Next week I'm planning on going to get a K&N cold air intake installed as well as mounting my 20 inch rims I'll keep you guys updated.

Thanks,
MikeHawk

So what monster of an engine you got in your Jeep ? I am interested as well but I have the lowly Pentastar and I would love some specific feedback.

Re: DiabloSport Intune I-1000 DCX

Greetings,

Since I installed the I-1000 as my second engine mod for my Penty V6, I am quite happy with it. In conjunction with AFE cold air intake, i have better response in all areas. This includes better gas mileage.

The key for me was to improve the middle power range, which it did. I also found that going up inclines the shifting and power stays consistent as oppose to when I used to loose it. Passing power is great.

Next year I will be looking into changing the exhaust again and see if their are any more merits. Yea, I know it is now a Hemi, but does feel like I am close and it makes me feel better.

Best for now.

So what is the strategy for dealing with dealerships? Do you trust that it is undetectable?

Re: DiabloSport Intune I-1000 DCX

Greetings,

My dealership happens to be pro active on performance upgrades and encourages that the mods be done with them. It happens that my mechanic that I use with the dealership used have his own performance shop and he did both of the mods for me. It was a reasonable price. The Diablo is easy to install by yourself. The dealership backs up the work and if I have problem in another state, they will verify the work.

For what hear on the forum, some dealerships try to void out the warranty. However, we are still somewhat protect with the Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act. My feeling it depends on the model and what year. When the JGC Wk2 first came out, every little upgrade they yelled. Now with more expertness on the WK2, they seam to take it on a case by case.

Best for now.
