Dodge challenger v6 exhaust on WK2

I was wondering exactly what the title says, has anyone thought of or put on an exhaust from the newer v6 challenger on a v6 WK2. To me it seems like a good idea, the exhaust is meant for the engine so no worries about losing back pressure, the exhaust sound seems to be what i would want on an SUV not too loud but not quiet either.

let the discussion begin.

Re: Dodge challenger v6 exhaust on WK2

It's a completely different chassis, so it won't fit.

Re: Dodge challenger v6 exhaust on WK2

but with modifications it would fit. yes we could stick the hemi exhaust on the car like stated in other threads but this exhaust is meant for the engine. so with modifications it would surely fit.

Re: Dodge challenger v6 exhaust on WK2

But the WK2 V8 exhaust should be a bolt-on from the mid-pipes on back, and you could get an exhaust shop to make an X or H pipe adapter from the V6 cats. Less mods = less money.

With the Challenger exhaust there may be no part that fits without modification. I think it would represent a "challenge" that most custom shops would not accept.

Re: Dodge challenger v6 exhaust on WK2

Has anyone taken the doors from a Caravan and installed them on a WK2?

Hey, there is no need for an a$@hole response to a thread. If you have nothing useful to contribute then why comment at all, you waste your time and my time.

Re: Dodge challenger v6 exhaust on WK2

As stated, the 5.7L V8 dual exhaust is a direct bolt-up. There are several threads about this on the forums, outlining the additional parts needed (rear hanger, drivers side heat shield, dual exhaust tip rear bumper lower bezel). Some members have found take-off V8 systems on eBay, Craigslist or locally to keep the cost down. Yes, if you have to purchase everything from the dealer new, it would be quite expensive.
