If V6 owners go with a dual exhaust layout, as Air Ram correctly indicated the velocity problem, it can be resolved by using two smaller diameter pipes to the bumper and finish it with larger chrome tips. This retains the performance without hurting the look (i.e. having tiny tailpipes showing in the rear). I haven't calculated what size would work bets, but an experienced racing exhaust builder should be able to pick the best sizing.
