Re: Dual Exhausts & 3.6

going from memory...no problem to switch the stock hemi duals in. Both exhausts are identical except the hemis splits at the rear.

Re: Dual Exhausts & 3.6

You'll also need the bumper cover from the Hemi model- the V-6 one doesn't have the cutout on the left side, and cutting it yourself won't look right.

Re: Dual Exhausts & 3.6

What else would be required? It looks like there are resonators or some sort of muffler connected to the exhaust tip.

The hemi exhaust is a true dual on the WK2 by the way.

it looks to "almost" be. The duals do meet about halfway back at a resonatoor...

I thought the muffler acted as an h-pipe and it was a true dual exhaust.

You gents believe there is any performance advantage to change the v6 to dual exhaust?

Re: Dual Exhausts & 3.6

I'd like to know if it's a bolt-in or not, surely there are some Hemi owners out there that would sell slightly used duals when they upgrade to a Borla or Corsa or something else. It could be a fairly inexpensive way to get a good functioning dual system. And I really am not all that interested for pure performance, just more for looks.

Re: Dual Exhausts & 3.6

Dual sounds good but pressure within the pipes is also important. If not corretly set up, dual could have less HP.

Re: Dual Exhausts & 3.6

Just keep in mind true duals do NOT always equal more power... In your case they will most likely kill any power you’re making right now.

You would be better served with the correctly selected un-restricted single exhaust built to increase velocity. Going to a dual exhaust will kill any velocity you’re currently making.

And don’t confuse "Velocity" with "Backpressure" ... backpressure is a restriction... velocity builds low end torque and sustains upper RPM HP.

SPEED SAFE, NICK
