So you used plumbers thread tape around the part that goes in the grommet?

Was this on your K&N you used the tape? That kind of sux. I mean that's good you got a fix for it but are all like this???

I think a lot of people have had this issue. The temp sensor fits and locks but is loose. I didn't want air getting through the hole and cause the sensor to get a false reading. Putting a few layers of Teflon tape made it fit nice and snug. The sensor only has a small rubber o-ring. But yea I guess they could have made the hole in the aluminum tube to spec.
