I have the mopar CAI on my 3.6 and I love it.. If you go on eBay and search mopar filter sock or prefilter they have the filter bags that go over to stop moisture and dirt. Thinking of getting one for a while now
I'm loving it!...sounds awesome when stepping on it and just about every time I get out of the jeep I gotta pop the hood to stare at it lol...I haven't paid any attention to gas mileage or hp gains
I had the same issue with my K&N. It will twist in but was very loose. I wrapped it in Teflon tape which then kept it nice and snug. I think if people are hearing whistling it is from air passing by the sensor due to the loose fit.
I think a lot of people have had this issue. The temp sensor fits and locks but is loose. I didn't want air getting through the hole and cause the sensor to get a false reading. Putting a few layers of Teflon tape made it fit nice and snug. The sensor only has a small rubber o-ring. But yea I guess they could have made the hole in the aluminum tube to spec.
