Has anybody purchased the Flowmaster Force II Series Catback for the 3.6 Pentastar, the single exhaust version. Just wondering how it sounds and if there is any drone. I cant seem to find a soundclip anywhere for that particular system. The part # is 817628. Dont really want to go through the hassle of changing the rear bumper opening and paying over 1000 for a dual exhaust system, just basically looking for a nice louder tone with minimum drone inside the cabin and something that I can easily bolt right up.

I was looking for the same thing as you. There are a few of the members on this site who've installed the Gibson single exhaust axle back system with 3.6l with good results. It's not too loud, but is noticeably different. No drone. No experience with the flowmaster system though. Good luck.

I have a few options right now but can't decide... If i could only hear the single from someone who has it. I have searched all over...

1)Buy the flowmaster Force II single exhaust and see how it comes out...
2)Get the gibson exhaust and save some cash...
3)Convert to the dual and pick up a magnaflow exhaust. It is pricey, but others have said it sounds great.

I have checked plenty of youtube vids. Flowmaster has the video for the 5.7L dual exhaust but nothing for the single like the magnaflow. I even tried finding one from a dodge durango since its the same setup, but in the video it looks like he has the dual exhaust on it, even though it has V6 in the title.

Also, I read that thread on the gibson and it is a good choice, but I want to try the flowmaster or magnaflow first. If anyone has a single exhaust audio clip for either that would be awesome to compare.

I've had the Gibson for about a month now. I was looking for better sound for not too much investment. I have a 2013 overland. My thoughts after a month: it's a decent system for the money. However, most people probably won't notice you made a change. I can tell, but it's not very loud. If you'd be happy with mild improvement, then Gibson is a good option. It will probably leave you wanting more though. If you're willing to spend the money and want to really notice a difference, go a different direction. Just my 2 cents.

I'm in the exact same boat.

Can't see myself enjoying a dual exhaust that much for over a grand, installed and out the door. It does look and sound much better, but that seems like a hefty mod for such payoffs.

I've been researching the single exhaust upgrades to death, but there isn't nearly as much out there as for the dual upgrade. The Flowmaster Stainless Steel Force II Exhaust seems like a worthy candidate, but I'm with you. We need some sound clips!

The Gibson seems like a deal, but just not enough noise. So I'm willing to entertain these other ones that still aren't breaking the bank too much.

I'll be following along for any updates everyone finds and hopefully adding to them as well...

If you don't want to spend the $, just buy a Magnaflow or Flowmaster SS muffler, and have a shop cut your old, and weld new one in. The OE system is stainless. You'd probably be out the door in less than $200 if you're lucky.

I've been looking into this option as well, but I'm just worried it's not going to be enough response for the investment, as cheap as it may be. Because at the end of the day, this is coming down to looks and sound for me. I'm not expecting any performance gains.

well heres an idea guys...instead of trying to find a full on catback, you could JUST swap the muffler out and ditch the reso. theres hundreds of mufflers that will or could fit up under there
