Ya but that has to be mostly city with a little highway. Constant speed on highways for my 05 hemi is at 19 at 70. The wk2s should be around or above 22 at that speed like the other posts have stated. The evic is a average of 300 miles i believe form what i have read on another thread here. City though is bad 11 or 12 for me. Idling kills the avg mpg.

There are some heavy feet apparently. Or lots of traffic. I average 13-14 towing 3000 pounds down I-81 in Virginia. Regular driving, averaged, is 16-18. Highway with no load is >21.

Re: For 5.7L HEMI: what octane rating of gas do you use?

As stated earlier in this thread, my all-time average gas mileage was 12 with 89 octane. I decided to try out the 87 and my gas mileage got better! I now have on average close to 14 and at times up to 16. I have not noticed any change in performance or engine sound.

Re: For 5.7L HEMI: what octane rating of gas do you use?

I'm confused. In the back of my 2013 manual, the manual recommends 91 octane for my 5.7L engine. Many of the posts say 89 octane. Is that for the V6?

Re: For 5.7L HEMI: what octane rating of gas do you use?

2014 manual recommends 89 for the V8 , but says 87 is fine. V6 requires 87. "Higher octanes (premium) offer no additional benefits" according to Jeep.
