Question fuel saving chips on Ebay

What are those Ebay magic chips which are said to elevate horse power OR adding more Miles per gallons?!?
Is this some kind of a joke?
Anyone have tried it, does it work?
Will it damage the car mechanics or my warranty ?

Thanks.

All snake oil, without exceptions.

A TRUE programmer/tuner CAN get mileage improvements (usually with performance improvements too), but they cost more money, and you need to ask how long it takes to recoup the monies spent, given the result is only ever as good as the person writing the tune.

Re: fuel saving chips on Ebay

Don't listen to them, They work -- if they didn't do you think you'd be able to buy them from EBay or Craigslist?

Also, I recommend you check out the following, as they too tend to get lots of negative feedback on the internet.. All of which is absolutely untrue:

Free Energy: http://www.free-energy-info.com/
