I just placed order for the Gibson system. It's hard to tell based on video clips, but I am hopeful the sound is not like a teenager's civic! I think it should be ok. Thanks for taking the time to upload sound clips. My local muffler shop will install for $75. Now I just need to tell my wife.

Re: GIBSON EXHAUST ordered 3.6L V6

Has anybody installed a Gibson for the 3.6l with dual exhaust? If so, happy with the results? What part numbers?

TIA.

Just had this Gibson system installed on my 2013 3.6l. It sounds nice without any noticeable drone. However, it's certainly not loud if that's what you're looking for. For me, I appreciated how quiet the JGC was and didn't want it to be too loud. This just gives it a little more sporty, rumbly sound. On one hand, it's hard to beat this system for the money. On the other, it won't be confused for a more elaborate dual exhaust. Good for my needs so far however. I'll post more after a longer experience if my thoughts change.

Re: GIBSON EXHAUST ordered 3.6L V6

Bit the bullet and decided to try one out for my V6.

Hoping the sound is nice and to get some feedback between it and the new K&N drop in filter.

Thank you to everyone who has supplied info, reviews, photos and video along the way. It's been extremely helpful!

I don't see Gibson listing an application for the 2014. Are you sure the 2013 will work?

I called and asked a Gibson rep before I bought it, who said they expected it to most likely fit because '11-'14 WK2's have the same exhaust components.

Still haven't had enough time to get it installed yet to confirm that. It'd be nice if I could get a day off to do so or find an exhaust shop open on the weekends.

Gotcha I'm eager to hear about your results.

Re: GIBSON EXHAUST ordered 3.6L V6

Got the axle back installed today, finally.

Took about 15-20 minutes, between getting it on the rack and out the door. Only cost $60 as well, which beat every other muffler shop's quote in town by about $100, easily.

I immediately noticed a deeper toned start up and from a quick 5 minute drive, it had a nice sporty sound. Not too raspy at all, which I was worried about.

I'm very happy I went with this choice, over going to the full dual exhaust cat-back mod. It adds just the right amount of grumble when accelerating, at idle and start up. It wasn't noticeable at cruising speed, until I wanted it to be. Just what I was hoping for.

*Obviously the sound of the exhaust is completely subjective and I'm sure most would think the system doesn't sound loud enough for their tastes. But I wasn't looking to make my Jeep as loud as an SRT8, by any means. This was the most cost effective, least amount of work and most appropriate sound level for myself. If you're looking for something that's going to wake your neighbors in the morning, this isn't the exhaust system for you.

Sounds like everything was a straight forward fit. Any chance you can take a quick pic of the back of your rig? Am interested in seeing how the tip looks on the 14.

Completely straightforward fit.

Here are some photos I took earlier today. From afar, you can hardly see it, so these are from a closer angle. ...Also, dirty BLOO.
