Now that it's been on for a while are you still happy with it? Notice any gains in throttle response or acceleration?

Also curious on longer term impressions.

Re: GIBSON EXHAUST ordered 3.6L V6

Still happy with mine and it seems to have definitely developed a deeper tone over time, which is good.

I do hear some minimal drone sometimes and think how annoyed I would be if it were any louder on longer drives. So overall, I think it's a great choice for getting some better noise than the stock setup (that sounds like a whisper IMO) without sacrificing the quietness in the cabin.

Re: GIBSON EXHAUST ordered 3.6L V6

Ive had it for 2 years now and its still great. Sometimes i wish it was louder... Might have to look at replacing the stock items between the cat and the gibson

Re: GIBSON EXHAUST ordered 3.6L V6

Glad to hear you are still enjoying it. Do you still have the big suitcase muffler and this just replaced the resonator on the back? I guess since i have the factory duals i would just use 2 of these?

Re: GIBSON EXHAUST ordered 3.6L V6

Drone is the "rumble" or exhaust sound you hear from inside of the cabin while driving at regular speeds (not the noise you hear when flooring it from a stop

Dual exit?

One of my pipes has a bend in it (purchased used) and the OEM is expensive!

Edit: somehow missed page 1 of this thread. I see its single exit. Maybe an exhaust shop can heat up and even out mine...

Re: GIBSON EXHAUST ordered 3.6L V6

Just put the dual stainless axle back kit on my 2015 Altitude and I'm curious if anyone else has the dual kit? I think it sounds good at start up and at slower speeds. On the highway though, around 65MPH or so, there is a good amount of drone. I won't say it's a deal breaker, or that it is horrible, but it's there and I didn't think it would be from others reviews. Most reviews are of the single system so I'm wondering if the dual adds more sound. I didn't remove anything else so all the other stock stuff is still there. I had thought about getting a CAI too but I'm guessing that will just add more noise and/or drone and I don't want that.

This is why I only swapped out my tips. The drone on these cars is inevitable. Glad I saved myself the headaches.

I was going to do just the tips until the black ones went away and then came back for $300. I couldn't justify spending $300 on just a set of tips. I saved my stock exhaust so worst case I will just put that back on down the road if I get tired of the Gibson setup. Can I ask why drone is inevitable with our vehicles? I don't get why some say there is no drone and others say it is horrible? Is it the product or just how everyone defines drone or how bad the drone is.
