How do you like it now? I have been thinking about it for a while. I love the gibson but its a bit on the quiet side

I drove with the Gibson and the front delete for a while...it does sound good...but its full of drone and gets pretty annoying after a while.

I ended up swapping out the Gibson setup with a custom rear magnaflow setup...and its a good balance ...very little drone and it still sounds pretty decent...but if you want the sound and don't mind the drone...then the gibson with the front delete is great for that

this is what the front delete/gibson sounded like

Re: GIBSON EXHAUST ordered 3.6L V6

Does anybody have a 3.6L with the Gibson Axle Back Exhaust with the resonator deleted? I thought about doing this to add a more aggressive sound. Preferably I would love to hear what it sounds like with a Laredo since thats what I have. Thanks in advance!

Re: GIBSON EXHAUST ordered 3.6L V6

Did anyone do the install themselves? Was it direct bolt on or was there welding required? Or is it just easier to go to a shop and have them do it?

I have them on my altitude and they sound better than most full cat back exhaust systems

Re: GIBSON EXHAUST ordered 3.6L V6

Today I received my single side Gibson 17408 axle back. Seems well built. It took me around one hour to install. I used the clamp but will have it welded on Saturday. The rear hanger was not bent properly as it didn't line up with the rubber grommet.

I have to say it is much quieter than expected. Honestly it is just barely louder than stock. I'm a little disappointed. The tip looks good.

I'm even more disappointed at my 0 to 60 time. I installed a AEM drop in filter, Diablosport with hemifever 87 tune and the exhaust. I can't believe my time was 11.8 seconds. At sea level about two years ago I measured 8.5 seconds stock. The only difference now is the modifications listed above, the bigger tires and 4000 ft altitude.

I want to blame altitude and bigger tires. Thoughts?

That is exactly why. Bigger tires means more rotating mass. And you have less dense air at 4k feet. Makes sense

I think we are on to something here. Makes sense but 3.3 seconds difference seems high. Oh well. I don't do traffic light drag races on my Jeep if I did, I have my Jag XJR for that.
