Off topic but, If you own a Toyota LC...what are you doing in a GC? Seem like nonsense to me?

Steveo -

The Land Cruiser is a great car, and could easily take the place of my WK2. However my LC is a 1999 and has 145k, the lady doesn't like it, and when going to everyday places seems a bit big and out of place. Thats not to say I dont love it, but for me id like to have something fun/newer to drive around town in. Before purchasing the WK2 I actually owned a Lexus GX470 (smaller Lexus branded Land Cruiser) and was going to trade it in for a 2013 Toyo LC but after hearing of a facelift/redesign in 2014 I rather wait. (I ended up trading in a 2012 Mustang 5.0 GT for the WK2.)

The WK2 serves as a great Daily Driver that has plenty of amenities worthy of a king, and still has that "I can go anywhere 4x4" persona. To sum it up, I've taken my bone stock Toyo Land Cruiser to places I wouldn't dare take the WK2.

If anyone wants to buy either my GX470 or Toyota Land Cruiser, please let me know.. They are both for sale! hahaha!

Black Friday code ENV1223 on Autoanything.com is 15% off and works on the Gibson kit.

Edit: just noticed there's a $25 rebate from Gibson as well. Man I'm trying not to spend money on myself today and this is really tempting now.

Re: Gibson Exhaust ORDERED

I just installed my Gibson exhaust and love it. I wanted a exhaust that wasn't too loud since my wife drives the Jeep a majority of the time. It has minor drone at freeway speeds but doesn't bother me much since I am a man. It's easily drowned out with my stereo at normal levels.

Re: Gibson Exhaust ORDERED

I pulled the trigger through Amazon. Even got free shipping to AK. Had a couple hiccups during the install.

I absolutely love the sound! Has a nice burble at idle. Makes me forget for a minute that I traded in my WK SRT8 Jeep. The drone at cruise is like a low growl that i actually kind of like.

Re: Gibson Exhaust ORDERED

I got mine through the black friday AutoAnything deal, did the mufflers and the K&N intake and I love it. I had my buddy who owns a muffler shop weld both sides on so no chance of leaking and they sound awesome! I am very happy with the sound and the minor drone at speeds is negligent, unless you're hammering on it with no radio on do you hear it loud, otherwise normal radio volume cancels it right out. The intake adds more of the throaty V8 sound that is awesome and sounds great! If only I could get a supercharger now it would be perfect! Best $500 I've spent for both the intake and exhaust.

Re: Gibson Exhaust ORDERED

I too installed the GIBSON axle back, nice tone no drone.. nice product.. had mine welded.. tips look sweet. also 50.00 more for the stainless steel, aluminized will not last as long. I sure like mine, worth the money. Acceleration is better, lighter in weight savings over stock system. Tips fill in the cut outs much better. see my sig for part#.

Re: Gibson Exhaust ORDERED

I have no way to do video and sound, but I can say it has a sweet tone.. so slight inside with windows up, start up sounds agressive, no drone at all, when I get on it still fairly quiet inside of interior,a person can still keep a coverstaion with another inside no problem. roll down a window and still not bad for noise. Well made product, small mufflers like the OE but oval shape. Ya can't go wrong with this kit, Stainless is it.

Re: Gibson Exhaust ORDERED

I'm headed up to Vail tomorrow, I will try to get some recordings on the highway and post them. I don't have a go pro or anything I could attach to the outside but I can have someone hold my phone into the trunk to get an idea what it sounds like. Any specific requests? I figure one accelerating, one cruising at like 80
