Sweet! I've been hoping someone would start coming out with axle back kits. Sub'd for vid/sound clips

Edit: available at autoanything.com $442.95 for the stainless steel set.

After looking at the instructions these are not just a simple bolt on. It says you have to cut the factory exhaust.

Good news! Now...who will be the guinea pig and let us know how well it works?

Any word on whether they addressed the drone issue?

Would it still drone with the OE resonator still in place?

Wish it really was just a bolt on...if so, i'd be a guinea pig for it.

Re: Gibson is now in the game with an axle back exhaust

I'm telling you the Gibson had no drone at all.
I went through a Flowmaster and a Dynamax, with bad ear buzzing drone.
The Gibson was great trust me on this one...at least with the vehicle I had it on....lol

Same here. I was looking underneath earlier and the driver's side muffler/resonator has a flange while the passenger one has piping all the way to the suitcase looking resonator/muffler. On my 11 Mustang they truly are axle backs, unbolt the old and put in the new and you're done. Worked great for swapping out quickly without messing with factory pipes.

Re: Gibson is now in the game with an axle back exhaust

So as described are we looking at a true weld only Cat back? If this was a bolt on configuration my pipes would be in route! Sounds like there is some welding to be done

Re: Gibson is now in the game with an axle back exhaust

I think its just cutting, they looks like slip ins and just bolted together but cant be sure. But the OEM exhausts do need to be cut.
