It was very generous for mine. I recurved mine in a little more than a week.

Got mine in about a week also. Waiting for some warmer weather before I attempt the install.

Re: Got my Billet Technology Catch Can today

Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead, but I'm about to order a CC for my 2014 JGC 5.7. I have a few questions....first, for those of you who have the 5.7L did you have to do anything with EGR block offs? I was watching the install video on BT's website and they mentioned for the 5.7's that an EGR blockoff is needed, is this still true for the 2014's? They didn't mention what years it applied to.

Second question, for those of you who got the braided hoses with the satin ends, did the hoses arrive to you at the proper length? I want the braided hoses, but I got worried they might arrive too long (after reading a thread mentioning someone had to trim about 6" off of the PCV hose (non-braided) that came with their CC from BT. If I had to trim the braided hose, it would be a waste to buy the braided hose, correct? lol.

3rd, I see in some pics on BT that a 3rd fitting is shown, will I need a 3rd fitting for a 2014 JGC 5.7L and if so, where does it go?

Lastly, can anyone please post pics of the how the hoses run to their final connections on the PCV and intake on a 2014 JGC 5.7L ?

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: Nevermind, I think I found my answers after taking a third look at all the pics in this thread.

Re: Got my Billet Technology Catch Can today

So I finally got my BT catch can, and I went to install it yesterday. First issue, is getting the OEM PCV hoses off, is there any easy way to do this? I stopped the install due to this, I did not want to end up damaging something. Also, another thing I didn't like was that the positioning of the left side of the catch can hose attachment. Once I put the hose on it, it will be rubbing right up against a small module thingy (lol). I guess I could try to tighten a bit more so the angle of the hose attachment is angled away from the module. It was a bit frustrating mostly b/c I was too much of a wuss to really pull on those hoses, THEN to make matters worse, I dropped the allen wrench in the little area near the strut tower. I gotta go buy a magnetic pick up tool to reach it. There may be a BT catch can up for sale! Anyone interested? lol!

It's not a bad install at all. The hoses come off easy, just get some pliers and twist them a bit as you pull. I used the elbow still for the forward port so the hose would hide better. I ran the hoses forward as close to the block as possible, going underneath other hoses where I could. Doing this allows you to get the breather cover back on with no obstruction from hoses. Hope this helps will try and get some pics later.

Thanks for the suggestion. I feel like the pliers might tear up the hose, when I would like to maintain it as best as I can in can I ever wanted to just go back to stock. Its def. another avenue I can go down once I get to the point of utter frustration and not give a care anymore and just get it installed already, lol.

I second the use of pliers. I also had a hard time removing the OEM hose from the PCV pipe. Got the pliers and with some gentle side to side rotation I loosened it enough for it to come off. No damage to the hose at all.

Re: Got my Billet Technology Catch Can today

Are the braided hoses that come with the Billet Technologies can long enough to go under the engine cover?

More than long enough. I had to cut mine since they were long.

Re: Got my Billet Technology Catch Can today

Don't they come with color matching metal ends and will the braid fray if you cut them?

The metal ends are more of an esthetic cover for the hose end, they slip on and off so no issues there. Also, I think color matching is an additional extra.

The braid didn't fray, I got a nice clean cut through the braid and hose using plain box cutters.

Re: Got my Billet Technology Catch Can today

Thanks,do you have the one with the right angle bracket thats bolts on next to the pcm. If yes is it easy to unscrew off the bottom of the can or do you have to loosen some bolts?
