hemifever tune- still need updates?

So I'm getting recall work done on my 2011 5.7L. And the dealership says my computers have updates available for them such as the locking diff, and things like that. There's like 8 of them. So my question is, does my diablo tuner with Hemifever update that or would getting those updated wipe out the Hemifever and if I re loaded the hemi fever would that cancel the software updates? Thanks guys

Re: hemifever tune- still need updates?

From my experience once the dealer flashes your PCM you will loose your hemifever tune. As long as you've saved your files that were emailed to you from hemifever you will be able to reinstall the tune after you pick your jeep up from the dealer and should be good to go. I've done this several times already, although you will have to back up a new stock tune to your tuner and possibly update the tuner it's self which is no big deal it just takes a while to update sometimes.

Simply reset your tune to stock before you go back in for work at the dealer. Install it on the way out of the dealer. Shouldnt mess with anything they do.

Thanks for the info guys. How necessary are the updates? They are charging me 30 for the first one and 10 for the other 8. Don't know if its worth it for the 110 bucks. I would rather spend that on tints.

Honestly I'm not too sure. I know one of them was for sluggish acceleration or something like that but it won't be anything you'll notice too much.

Yeah, my Hemifever took that sluggishness right away. Ha. I'm assuming its not too bad, maybe I will get it done in the next couple months. Thanks.

If your jeep is working good. Why possibly screw that up with the reliable updates they give us?
