Re: Hemifevertuning.com using Diablosport Trinity

I was only able to run a 7.49 0-60 with Sean's 89 tune ? I seen some one post they did a 6.5 with his 89 tune. What am I doing wrong ? I have a volant intake, no exhaust.

What state do you live in? Sea level, temperature, etc.. Could have a lot of effect on your times.

80 outside and 900 ft above sea level. Maybe when I send Sean my data log of the 93 tune he can tweak both tunes and send them back to me. Still have a full tank of 89 so it might be a while.

So Rich, I'm getting my head around installing a $600.00 program on my $45,000.00 Grand Cherokee...Thinking about the install..you know.. And I did a quick search for the OBD port, but can't find it. Before I start pulling apart cardboard, can you tell me where you found the port? I'd sure appreciate it!
Thanks

Its in the driver side foot well just above the brake pedal. I think on most cars it is in the same place.

Well, I bit the bullet and ordered the Trinity through Hemifever for my '13 WK2 Hemi. I don't expect a race car, but I am tired of giving way to all the clowns trying to beat me on the freeway entrance ramp every morning. Im sick of them and want to blow thier doors off. I'm also hoping to eliminate that flat spot in second gear around 2000 rpm and better downshifting, because these little impromptu races often happen from a roll and unless I'm manually shifting ...Im screwed. We'll see... From what I'm hearing, Sean's tuning can help quite a bit in these areas.

I have the 13 hemi and passing on the highway is much more effort less. Before it seemed to take 10 years to kick down gears now it's almost instantaneous. You don't have to mash it all the way to the floor to get these Jeeps to move anymore

I installed the 89 tune and it's night and day when comparing the stock Diable 87 performance tune to Hemifever's 89 tune. The most noticeable difference is that Sean actually reprograms the TCM. Now I have zero hesitation when stepping on the gas. He'll also have you send a data log so he can makes final tweeks to the tune to get the optimum performance out of it and yes, he adjusts for those that have bolt on's such as my Mopar CAI!

The great news, is that this only cost $125 if you want to download it to your Diablosport Tuner or if you don't have one, he is a Diablo Dealer and offers a discount with his tunes already installed. It's the best $125 I have spent!
I bought a Diablo Trinity few weeks ago when Diablo came out with the new Jeep Grand Cherokee programs. I did run the 91 octane tune for a week and I really like the torque increase. It seems so far it increased by about 40 foot pounds of torque on the wheels in the low rpm range. However I wonder if the Hemifever tuning really makes even more of a difference? Why wouldn't Diablo do it in the first place?

I had the same friggen flatspot and it drove me bonkers. Now with the Diablo Trinity I gained a lot of extra low end torque on the wheels, 40 ftp (by about 2200 rpm) to be exact

Re: Hemifevertuning.com using Diablosport Trinity

To really test your performance before and after your modifying the engines computer, I'm using a engine management diagnostics tool and a obg2 blue tooth unit to run my constant HP and Torque readings. The smartphone app is awesome, gives you all readouts from the engine at all times, in real time. Every time I load a different map my torque and hp curve changes. My Jeep is doing really well with the 91 octane tune and on the highway I have an average of 24 mpg driving about 75-80 miles per hour. City driving is not that great, my gas mileage with the 91 octane tune is only 21 mpg versus the 87 tune with give me 23 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway...than again, still very good considering my performance in the jeep is so much better and way more fun to drive....0-60 mph is 9.5 sec...which is awesome for a heavy SUV :-) My max torque so far is 255 ftp (at the wheels) at 2223 rpm. Horsepower did not improve!
Performance before installing the Diablo Trinity:
Max Torque: 212.1@ t 4080 rpm and 203 Horsepower @ 6380 rpm at the wheels.
