I switched to the 91 tune awhile ago and ran it for awhile...I had a mix of gas in the tank that averaged to 91 (not good I guess from the data logging perspective). I definitely noticed improved power throughout the RPM range and even quicker downshifts when needed and higher RPM upshifts. The power band was very linear and I didn't ever feel it fall on its face.

From Sean's explanation, the 91 tune is meant to provide improved shifting, tq management and power. While the 89 tune mainly plays with shift points and tq management. Do I feel like I need the 91 tune? Nope. I'm pretty happy with being able to run the 89 tune and gas. Coming from a BMW that required premium, it's nice not to have to fill up with premium and save a few bucks when filling up 24 gallons.

On that note, I did let my tank run down near empty and filled up with 92 octane. I plan to run the 91 tune and pull some data logs to send to Sean. It will be to have his custom 91 tune if I feel the need in the future. I expect that his custom tuned 91 for my Jeep will produce even better results than what it does already. We don't have 93 octane here so Sean sent me the 89 and 91 tunes.

Thanks- exactly what I was looking for. I'm really pleased with his 89 tune so far, but will try out the 91 when the tank is empty.

So I made some runs last night and did some data logging. It sure does pull hard now... Sent them over last night and the response is that the logs look great. Sounds like I didn't need any adjustments. I plan to run the 91 tune through this tank of gas then switch back over to the 89 tune. Will report back later on with my experience.

Re: Hemifevertuning.com using Diablosport Trinity

I've got a '12 Durango R/T and am skeptical about how much better this tune is over the canned tunes. I've been taking my Durango to the track and started out with a best of 15.49@88MPH with a catback and intake. With a 180* thermostat my times became more consistent. With the 87 octane trinity tune and raised shiftpoints I was at 15.31@90MPH. I may buy the hemifever tune but if it doesn't perform any better I'll be honest about it.

I have a friend who is a Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep Diablosport CMR tuner and he told me that there really isn't much available to adjust on the 11+ cars (compared to the '05-'10 cars) besides de-sensitizing the knock sensors. I know the TCM is a completely different module than the PCM so I doubt you can "tune" the transmission.

Ran the 89 octane hemifever tune vs. the 87 octane canned Diablo tune. Pretty much the same performance wise at the track. 15.29 vs 15.31 with same MPH.

Well thats discouraging... Im still waiting for Diablo to figure out the 2011 ECM, so I can get some tunes from Sean. I am very disapointed with my Diablo canned tunes..

Re: Hemifevertuning.com using Diablosport Trinity

If I could do it all over again, I would have saved my money and just bought some good mufflers to replace the stock suitcase muffler and had a jeep that sounded good. Really hoping Sean's tune wake this thing up.. I think 80% of the issue is the transmission, and the shifting/downshifting.. Also, has anyone noticed like a surging? Say cruising at 40-45mph, I have noticed a surge.. you can really hear it in the exhaust tone.

I have installed both the 87 and 89 octane tunes and never noticed any kind of surging. With the DynoMax cat-back exhaust I have on my 2011 WK2, I'm sure I would notice it.
