Hemifever now has a tune available for the 2011 Grand Cherokee 5.7's!

Re: Hemifevertuning.com using Diablosport Trinity

Hey All,

Just wanted to post an update. I received an e-mail from Sean on June 30th advising that he had received reports that the 2-1 downshift can be too sensitive on occasion and that at highway speeds the kick down just one gear for passing is not always enough. I let him know that I have experienced both at times but just haven't had the time to send him any feedback.

Next thing you know, boom, 2 new tunes are in my inbox respectively named 89-Octane-v2 and 91-Octane-v2.

I just got the chance to install the new tunes as I took the Jeep in to get an oil change so removed the original tunes. I only had the opportunity to try out the 2-1 donwshift improvement but wow, it's like night and day, no more unpredictable dump in to 1st gear when rounding a tight corner. The rest of the in city shifts seemed smoother as well and the tranny seems to hold gear a bit better when ascending hills/inclines.

Cliff Notes:
1. Awesome Customer Service from Sean, there aren't too many people that will follow-up with their customers months after purchase to see how things are going

2. Get the updated tunes if you haven't already! Definitely improved over the initial release and far improved over the stock tuning that I ran for a couple days after the oil change.

Happy modding!

This doesn't sound right to me. i dropped almost a full second off my zero to 60 times between the two tunes.

+2 to DirtyDuc's comments same experience with the 91 V2 HF tune. It now gets one to two downshifts upon 1/4 to 1/3 of the gas pedal vs. needing to mash it to the floor.

So the Trinity is obviously able to load HF tunes into the 11's now?!?! (Sorry bit outta the loop atm)
Any fixes to the ABS issue?

What are your overall thoughts on the tune Moose? Worth the $?

11s are good to go now. No fix to the ABS yet...a bit ridiculous that Diablosport has let it go this long.

But you're driving a 12 - right? So hemifever must be tuning 12's now. So does the ABS, "feature", still persists on 12's with the tune? Still waiting for something available for 13's myself ...

Re: Hemifevertuning.com using Diablosport Trinity

Wassup 604?

I loathed the throttle lag and am further handicapped by the loss of HP at higher altitudes, so to me the roughly $600 Trinity with Hemifeverctunes is worth it. Driveability gains per dollar, it is the best performance upgrade I have tried, with much of the credit going to Sean at Hemifever.

YMMV. Cheers.

Reporting back after getting a chance to spend some time on the road with the updated tunes. I made a couple 35 - 40 min highway trips over the last week and the first thing I noticed...nothing. Yes, that's right, nothing. The reason being that the tranny and power is so much smoother now that I didn't notice any lagging, poor downshifts, abrupt downshifts or feeling like I am in the wrong gear. I was thoroughly pleased with the initial HF tunes but wow...the updated versions are even better!
