To each his own, Jeep 5.7 exhausts/mods (except SRT manifolds) and CAI are all just noisemakers with no performance added, most actually lose low end which makes driving less fun, and uses more gas. Fast and quiet with worthwhile mods that also increase low end response is much more fun, no comparison.. Mine attracts no attention at all when getting on it, is actually smoother and quieter than stock, with 0-60 of 5.4.

if its "to each his own" then stop coming on every performance thread with all your negative comments about how everything just makes noise or loses power. if all these mods do absolutely nothing then there would be no aftermarket. if he looses some low end its because it needs a tune to compensate

Cool story.. my hemi sounds like a hemi! But clearly improving the most restricted part of the 5.7 is a bad idea. To each their own i guess.

I kept the resonators in the back to see what it would sound like with just the X-pipe for now. Best way to describe it would be that it sounds similar to stock but turned up to 6 out of 10. It sounds much deeper at idle and when you punch it the thing really wakes up. Not a bad mod for $200.
I like removing all that weight too. Good mod!

The resonator delete produces virtually no drone. It was surprising. And everyone that has heard it said it's sounds amazing. The only downside is that unlike the Corsa, you still have restriction in the higher rev ranges. But otherwise, a great easy and cheap mod and sounds great!

Re: How to make a 5.7 Hemi sound like an actual 5.7 Hemi

Does anyone make a resonator delete kit? It would be nice if I could just buy the exhaust tubing already bent... Remove the resonator and bolt/weld in the new tube.

Or is it as simple as I could replace the resonator with a straight tube. Cut it out on both sides and swap in a straight pipe? I know I could just go out and crawl under the Jeep and look but its -22 and I'm in my warm office..

Except for the rappy Atak, Borla sounds boring . . . Corsa sounds BADASS!
