Hp tuners vs Diablo

Looking to add a little more power and drive ability to my wife's 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7

Is the Diablo Trinity with Hemifever tuning still the best option he have. Or is any tuners using HP tuners, I see some hemi cars are using HP tuners software.

Thanks

Re: Hp tuners vs Diablo

I just curious if there are any tuners that are using the HP Tuners Software on the Jeep Hemi platform.

I have EFILIVE on my Dodge Diesel and it made a world of difference.

Most guys that tune them wether it's a custom Diablo tune or cmr use "hack" tuning. They hack the injectors by adjusting pulse with and duty cycle but they leave the offset alone in them. While this does work, it's not ideal.

With the hp tuner you can calculate the idc and put in the needed offset. This is why we're seeing guys move over to hp.

This is funny. There is no dedicated "duty cycle" table on either platform, as it is a product of pulsewidth vs rpm lol..

Just changing an offset would a terrible thing to do unless you are dialing in larger injectors ( which use a pw vs. flow rate anyway) and still would only give you global fuel control..

To the OP.. Ask your tuner which they prefer. Other then that diablo gives you conveinence of a handheld programmer that has added functions wheras hptuners is used in conjunction with laptop. Not sure if the new gauge works with chrysler yet.

Re: Hp tuners vs Diablo

Are there any tuners that are using HP tuners software to tune the Jeeps?

Re: Hp tuners vs Diablo

I know and recently got into the 03-05 Cummins as well. I saw on some Challenger forums that they are tuning them.

Yes there are plenty of people using HPT.. I have done a few chrysler myself.. One thing to consider is the License fee for HPT could be put towards the purchase price of a Diablo handheld device, so there is an added conveinence there.. You can accomplish the same thing using either or and would be a good idea to go with the one your tuner prefers..
