Re: Hypertech Interceptor

I drive with 87 Octane and have noticed gains.. I have noticed it is peppier off the line, and quicker to respond to throttle input when cruising. I am not sure premium gas would drive any different with this module.. It is effected when running a diablo due to increased timing mostly.. I still wonder if you can run the diablo with this harness tho.. Kinda like stacking programmers in a diesel.. Just a thought..

Re: Hypertech Interceptor

After having this installed on my vehicle, for over a month now, I have to say the power improvements are pretty noticeable. Between the increase in horsepower due to tuning and the improved throttle response with the pedal kit, I am satisfied. However... (and you're gonna have to take me at my word on this.... )

I can no longer afford ANY of the consequences of a speeding violation. Whether it's: demerits on my license, increased insurance premiums, the price of the speeding ticket, whatever...? SO... I have quickly moved past enjoying the performance benefits and have REALLY tried to concentrate on seeing what kind of fuel economy gains I could achieve. So, for the last 3 and a half weeks I have driven my Hemi V-8, for lack of a better term, like a c*nt!! I'm the guy who slowly and steadily accelerates onto the freeway. The guy driving the speed limit (in the right lane) and still getting passed like grandma. Slow rolling to a (non) stop.
You name it, I've been doing it in an effort to maximize the improvement in "real world" miles per gallon. Well...

I have noticed a .6 mpg improvement. It goes up to 1.1 if you do a lot of constant freeway driving ( I did 3, 20 gallon fill ups). That's not anywhere near what the advertised increase was, and a little disappointing. My only complaint really. But it's a big one, because that was the primary reason I bought it (believe it or not..)

Does it have any effect on the transmission like a custom tune? I don't think so, but am curious.
