In Ohio..Anyone with 'cheap' exhaust mods - x pipe, resonator delete etc

HI
I would like to hear a 5.7 with one of the 'little' mods. Would love a bit more noise but not a ton. Have a baby on the way, go to work early. Wife would KILL me if she knew. But shes not totally perceptive. I'm in Columbus and would love to hear one with either the resonator delete or the suitcase muffler delete.

I know its a longshot but thanks

Try just changing out the mufflers. I live in Akron and there's a few shops around here that would do it. I rather just get a full corsa setup

Have you considered just adding an intake if you want some growl? Won't wake the neighbors and gives it some volume under acceleration. Plenty of opinions on them here but I put one in because I could and I'm happy with it. I'm local to you if you want to check it out, just a thought.

You will be flirting with drone, the suitcase reduces drone...it can be done you just have to get the right combo of x pipe and rear reso's.

I plan on adding an intake eventually haven't decided which one yet. What mufflers did you have installed? Any gains? Yea I definitely want to check it out!

Not to thread stomp but I went with the K&N, was not really looking for any performance gains so I went with aesthetics of the pipe to go along with my Limited. Other than adding a nice growl under acceleration and maybe a tad more confidence in the upper RPM for passing, I can't claim to notice much of a difference, about 2MPG average increase on my very non scientific tracking. But I knew what I was getting and why so I'm happy with it. I am running the stock exhaust for now until I get around to adding a Corsa.

I just installed a Corsa cat back system. Nice sound, not loud enough to wake the neighbors when started, and dropped about 14 lbs off the Jeep. No drone either. You do hear a little rumble inside, but a layer of sound deadner under the spare would stop any noise if you wanted no noise. Absolutely no droning. At highway speeds, almost no noise at all. I'm in CBus too. True cold air intake is next...

Get rid of the suitcase muffler and get two flowmasters 10416 to replace them with. I just did it on my 15 jeep grand Cherokee altitude v6 and it sounds awesome. You can get them on amazon for 60 bucks each
