How much difference in performance do you "feel" and have you done anything else to you engine?
That's a tough question. My SOTP (seat of the pants) dynamometer is pretty sensitive - so between confirming with some times runs and having fun on a closed road course, it sure feels a bit faster.

Remember - 10 hp gains on a 5,000 lb vehicle to those less sensitive may be a wash.

Cool, thanks. I'm might wait until the warranty is up and get a supercharger instead to make sure to get maximum performance

Don't expect power from a intake.
I am surprised to hear the sound only increased by 10%, I guess I am glad I went with the Volant since it sounds great.

That seems like an odd thing to say - are you saying that the only reason you added an intake is to make it sound cool?

If you look at the aFe airbox, it's a enclosed system, similar to the OEM one, less the resonator box just ahead of the TB.

I added the intake because I was bored , sound was the bonus.
In regards to the power comment, it might add a little in the highest rpm's but it's so minimal no one should have expectations of feeling the power.
to anyone who does

My reading comprehension is usually pretty good... but I have to ask;
The OME intake was quicker to 60mph by over 6 tenths of a second compared to the AFe intake?
But the AFe was quicker in the 1/4 by a tenth and a half?
If that is the case, that AFe provides amazing "passing power" (nearly a second faster from 60mph to ~93mph, that is something you would absolutly feel), but poor TQ...
Since for me, I don't have any 2 lane roads where I need to pass quickly to be safe, I'll stick with the greater off idle punch.

That's generally the case with any aftermarket, high flow intake. You lose a bit of the velocity generated from a longer, more restrictive intake that generates better swirl for low RPM performance, and gain it back in the high RPM.

That was a very astute observation!

This is more so the physical attribute of the components.

More difficult (if not impossible) to tune out.

We have several of these coming back in stock and have them on sale if anyone is interested. One of our customers has it on his Durango RT and loves it.
