Re: Installing V8 Dual exhaust on V6

I finished my project of upgrading from a single exhaust on my V6 to a stock V8 dual exhaust (purchased from a buddy that upgraded his hemi to a Borla). Overall came out very good. Sounds better and I can notice some improvement with the dual exhaust coupled with my CAI. The part information listed by Ants in another thread were very helpful and accurate. Cost overall for everything used was about $600.

Re: Installing V8 Dual exhaust on V6

How's the throttle feeling? Performance gain or losss beside better sound?

Boba

Are you planning on putting any video clips of how it sounds?

So far the only video posted of a stock hemi exhaust on a 3.6 is one that is modified (they cut off the resonators) so I guess I shouldn't be calling it stock

Re: Installing V8 Dual exhaust on V6

Diesel WK2 comes with dual exhaust. Does anybody know whether it is same as Hemi's?

Throttle feels good....It feels like a performance gain to me. I was uncertain from other posts...some saying you loose performance and others saying you gain. I would have to say you gain. And it sounds and looks good! I am hoping maybe a little better with the MPG as well.

I wouldn't expect to see a performance AND mpg gain, though I suppose it depends how you drive.

It certainly looks better. I get why they did the single exhaust on the V6, but IMO the Limited & Overland models with the V6 should still come with the dual exhaust. The single side exhaust just looks out of place and frankly, kinda cheap on a higher end model.

That is what I thought as well with the single exhaust. I bet they change that on the next refresh. Regarding mpg and performance you are probably right. I will know in a few weeks. It does sound and look better.

Re: Installing V8 Dual exhaust on V6

For me to get Magnaflow in oversea will cost me about $2K. I've talked to Maganaflow rep and he said I may lose some low end performance but may not be noticable. So, I may talk to custom shop to see my options.
