Installing V8 Dual exhaust on V6

I have access to a stock exhaust from a 2011 GC V8 hemi and am considering installing on my 2012 GC V6. How much of the V8 exhaust do I need to convert to the dual exhaust from the hemi? Any down side to doing this? Thanks in advance for your comments and help.

Re: Installing V8 Dual exhaust on V6

It's pretty much a straight bolt-up. Search the forum for the thread with the information on the parts you will need (rear hanger, driver's side rear muffler heat shield and lower bumper fascia with dual cut-outs). Best luck and post info and pictures of your project.

Thanks for you help...do I need both sides of the V8 exhaust or do I reuse the side that I already have from the V6 exhaust?

CLick Here > 3.6 dual exhaust Maybe this link will work if not do the following

Search for the Thread titled "3.6 Dual Exhaust" it has picture and part numbers that your can use and familiarize yourself with.

You will be using the entire cat-back unit so make sure the person that is giving it to you does not cut up that exhaust it is one huge unit.

You would take off your old one and the dual exhaust would bolt right up.

Re: Installing V8 Dual exhaust on V6

Since the exhaust is designed for the 5.7 flow, you might see a loss of low end torque. The sound should be good though!

Re: Installing V8 Dual exhaust on V6

I honestly doubt you'll see much loss of torque if any at all in the low end. You should gain some numbers at the top end tho.

Re: Installing V8 Dual exhaust on V6

I noticed your in WF...I'm in N Raleigh. Any extra v8 exhausts you have a line on? I'm interested in going with a dual setup eventually and the cheaper the better :-)

I only have the one V8 exhaust that I purchased from a buddy in state. You might want to put a wanted listing on Craigslist for one. Good luck

Ahh your one of the lucky ones :-) I've been keeping an eye out for ones that come up for sale. Best of luck with the install!
