Intake Air Temperature Sensor replacement

So of course I broke the temp sensor trying to remove it from the stock intake to put in my new K&N. There was no way of getting that thing out without breaking it. Jeep had that thing melted in there.

I picked up a new one from Jeep and put it in but the check engine light is still on. Does it need to be reset by Jeep?

Try disconnecting the battery terminal for a few minutes then disconnecting the plug to the sensor. Reconnect battery then sensor and go drive. Might take a drive cycle to fix it

Thank you. I actually just noticed the check engine light went off today while I was driving. Must have taken a little bit. Appreciate your response.
