I also use a catch can and a custom tune from HemiFever.
The concept here is that they are all parts of an air inlet system, and little improvements do add up. My 0-60 times have dropped from 8.2 down to 6.9. Not blazing acceleration by any means but we're workin on it....we're workin on it!
I've been wanting to do a setup exactly like this for a while. Where did you get your Volant tube, and how easily did it attach to the factory box? Pics, dude!

I had first installed the full volant system, but I noticed that the intake air was about 30 more than the outside air temps. The Volant, and most other systems I've seen use a filter box that acts as a heat shield to radiant heat, but still sucks some air from the engine compartment. The dtock box, on the other hand, draws air only from the "scoop" over the headlight.
The Volant tube lined up exactly with the factory filter box, and I used the Volant rubber coupling between them....but it is a very tight fit and I'm looking for something a little larger. The difference is noticable and when its time to do emissions testing, it'll be an easy changeout

Re: Intakes Only!!!

I had installed a Mopar CAI on my '13 hemi. Made more noise in a good way, and maybe 0.5-1mpg gain over the course of 5 months I kept track depending on if I drove(1mpg) or the wife drove(0-0.5mpg gain). This was OVERALL driving, if I reset for one tank, and tried, it would get about 1.5mpg better. In certain situations, it seemed to have just a little more oomph that it didn't need a downshift, or seemed to have some more top end if I would wind it out.
It will be for sale, as I just traded the hemi for a diesel on Saturday. Pics to come w/ price in the proper thread. It's only 7 months old, and about 6k miles on it. Now, if someone would make an intake for the diesel...hmmm
