One of the first things you learn to do there is NEVER set your parking brake in the Winter if you want to move the car again. Of the hundreds I installed (and thousands in the area) I never heard of a car slipping out of park while the remote or low temperature start was activated.
As a side note - the one manual transmission car I installed a system on ( a friend talked me into doing this for him) did run through the garage door (twice) because he couldn't remember to put it in neutral. Second time his wife had me remove the system.
