Is there anyway to eliminate the Eco-MDS Function?

In my 2013 JGC? I don't like the dropping of 4 cylinders. I'm not seeking the best MPGs.

Can this be done without a tuner chip?

Dan

If you put it in sport mode it shuts off the MDS

Thanks but I should have included that it's a 2WD JGC so no Sport mode.

Without the use of a plug in full program tuner like Diablo, which you don't want... I only know of one device. It's much less invasive and it works perfect. Sorry though as it's not available yet for the Grand, give them a call though.

Multi displacement system. Shuts down fuel to 4 of the 8 cylinders under lite engine loading. Allows for better fuel economy especially highway cruising.

When you put it in drive just get in the habit of moving the shifter to the Left and keep it in 6, it's free

Re: Is there anyway to eliminate the Eco-MDS Function?

Before I got my Diablo tuner I simply shifted into 6th gear on the highway. MDS drove me crazy after I put new exhaust on my rig

Putting it into Tow mode appears to disable it... Lately I've been enjoying the tow mode for my daily mode..

Has anyone had success with the new TSB that supposedly allows ECO to stay off?
