I thought another reason it was de-tuned is due to heat? RAM has much more space under the hood. Considering the WK2's shorter intake, increased sound insulation and smaller underhood space, it seems like detuning the engine to increase driveability would make sense.
If all that is different is a de-tuning of the Jeep HEMI, then in theory, once a tune is released for our WK2's then it should be able to unleash that additional 35+ HP? I doubt it... I hope I'm wrong though!
Pretty sure the jeep has a different intake manifold due to hood height
your 100% right its the intake manifold and throttle body. The ram has more clearance. Also the exhaust manifolds on the ram have a more free flowing design then the WK2 due to tight packaging on the wk2.
